Desde hace 3 años, el joven comenzó a adentrarse profundamente en el ámbito del deporte, ocupando la mayor cantidad de su tiempo de estadía dentro del Centro de Justicia Juvenil de Cholchol, en realizar trabajos con pesas y gimnasio. “Es muy entretenido hacer deporte, y ahora quiero vivir de esto”, señaló. Hoy comparte sus conocimientos deportivos estudiando una carrera técnica de Masoterapia.
F.O. es un joven de 18 años que viene de una comuna cordillerana de la región de La Araucanía, lamentablemente “vivió experiencias difíciles” en su lugar natal, que lo hizo llegar, a causa de una sanción aplicada por Tribunales, al Centro de Justicia Juvenil de Cholchol. Hoy es un chico nuevo, con muchas ganas de superarse y dejar atrás todo lo malo que le ha pasado.
Visiblemente contento F.O. nos cuenta que el Centro de Cholchol, ha sido de gran apoyo en este proceso, ya que le ha permitido tener los espacios suficientes para estudiar, el acompañamiento ha sido fundamental para su nuevo desarrollo “salgo de lunes a jueves, me pasan para el transporte y colación. Además cuando estoy en el Centro, me ayudan con los tiempos de estudios, computador y los trabajos que nos dan en clases”.
Dentro de las principales acciones que realiza el Servicio Nacional de Reinserción Social Juvenil de La Araucanía, es la vinculación con los estudios, así lo señaló, su directora regional, Claudia De La Hoz: “la educación es un eje fundamental de la reinserción social juvenil, ya que contribuye al desarrollo personal, social y moral de las y las adolescentes, en este caso, privadas de libertad. En la Región de La Araucanía, son 4 los jóvenes que están teniendo salidas pedagógicas en la educación superior, 3 del IRC Cholchol y 1 de LAE IP Temuco, esperamos prontamente seguir sumando jóvenes a esta herramienta tan importante para la reinserción”.
Uno de los objetivos principales del Servicio Nacional de Reinserción Social Juvenil es orientar y normar las acciones del sistema, a través de la coordinación entre los servicios públicos, la acción integral y especializada, siempre en resguardando y garantizando la dignidad y los derechos de las y los jóvenes en conflicto con la justicia. La idea es evitar la comisión de nuevos delitos y así contribuir con su plena integración social.
La directora nacional del Servicio de Reinserción Social Juvenil, Rocío Faúndez, subrayó que la continuidad educativa es un pilar fundamental para una reinserción social efectiva. “No se trata solo de retomar la enseñanza básica o media en casos donde fue interrumpida, sino también de abrir caminos hacia la educación superior, como una oportunidad real de transformación personal y proyección de futuro para estos jóvenes”.
En esa línea, la directora destacó que “este año, a nivel nacional, 25 jóvenes iniciarán estudios en la educación superior, lo que refleja un avance significativo. Esto ha sido posible gracias al trabajo coordinado entre la red intersectorial y los equipos responsables de implementar el modelo de intervención, considerando las aspiraciones, intereses e historias personales de cada uno de jóvenes que comienzan con esta nueva etapa en sus vidas”.
